The short version
Tealefy is a public information and affiliate website. You can read articles and use calculators without an account. Hosting providers necessarily process request data. Optional Google Analytics and AdSense scripts do not load until the corresponding choice is granted. Amazon receives data only when you follow an Amazon link. Tasting notes, calculator entries and theme settings are not intentionally uploaded by Tealefy.
Who is responsible for the site?
SEO Rank SERP LLC, operating in Delaware, United States, operates the Tealefy website and determines the purposes described in this policy. Privacy questions and rights requests may be sent to build100k@gmail.com. Tealefy does not appoint a data protection officer unless applicable law requires one.

|---|---|---|---|

Tealefy does not request payment-card information, government identifiers, account passwords or a reader profile. It does not receive your Amazon order history, payment details or shipping address.
Exactly which analytics are used?
Tealefy uses Google Analytics 4 measurement ID G-3L5Z1L5CET. In addition to standard page and engagement measurement, expanded tea guides send a tea_profile_engaged event after 45 seconds of active, visible reading and a tea_profile_task event when a reader follows a brewing-tool, comparison, cited-source, entity-reference or tea-product link. These events include the tea identifier, content cohort and action category, not the link text or any form or calculator value. Tealefy does not implement a User-ID, upload customer lists, or deliberately send names, email addresses, tasting-note text, calculator values, medical conditions or medication information to Google Analytics. Google may use an IP address transiently to derive coarse location before discarding it from Analytics logs.
Tealefy disables Google Signals and advertising-personalization signals in its Analytics tag. Google's own processing is described in its partner-sites disclosure.
Google AdSense
Tealefy uses Google AdSense publisher account ca-pub-9629268937788692. Google and participating advertising providers may process request, device, browsing, coarse-location, consent and ad-interaction data. Depending on applicable law and your choices, ads may be personalized, non-personalized, or served with restricted data processing. Tealefy does not receive a list identifying which individual reader purchased an advertised product.
Advertising identifiers and browsing data disclosed for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under some U.S. state laws even when Tealefy does not sell a list for money. The controls described below apply to that activity.
Cookies and browser storage
| Name or category | Provider | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
tealefy-theme | Tealefy local storage | Remember light or dark mode requested by you | Until you clear browser storage |
tealefy-gongfu-journal | Tealefy local storage | Keep up to five tasting sessions on this device | Until you delete the entries or clear browser storage |
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguish browsers when analytics storage is allowed | Up to two years, subject to browser limits |
_ga_<container-id> | Google Analytics | Maintain session state when analytics storage is allowed | Up to two years, subject to browser limits |
| Advertising cookies and local identifiers | Google and disclosed ad providers | Ad delivery, frequency limits, fraud prevention, measurement and—only when allowed—personalization | Varies by provider and consent choice; details appear in the consent interface |
tealefy-consent-v1 | Tealefy local storage | Remember analytics and advertising choices, their policy version and decision time | Until you change the choice, clear browser storage or a new policy version requires another choice |
_gads, IDE, id and related advertising identifiers | Google and disclosed ad providers | Ad delivery, frequency limits, fraud prevention, measurement and—only when allowed—personalization | Varies by cookie, region and provider; Google states that common advertising cookies may last from days to 13 months in the EEA/UK/Switzerland and up to 24 months elsewhere |
Google maintains a current description of its cookie names, purposes and durations. The Google Search Console verification meta tag does not itself set a cookie or run analytics. The theme and journal storage support features you explicitly request. Analytics and advertising storage are non-essential.
Your privacy and cookie choices
Google consent signals default to denied for analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalization. Tealefy uses basic consent behavior: the GA4 and AdSense network scripts are not requested until you grant the corresponding category. Necessary delivery, security and on-device features remain available.
Review or withdraw your choice
The controls use equal reject and accept options, allow separate analytics and advertising choices, and remain available from every page. A changed choice applies immediately to future processing. Tealefy also attempts to remove optional first-party Google cookies when consent is withdrawn; browser controls may be needed to remove identifiers set on another provider's domain.
You may also clear browser data, block third-party content, submit a privacy request below, or email build100k@gmail.com. Rejecting optional processing does not prevent access to Tealefy's articles or calculators.
When the browser exposes a supported Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, Tealefy forces advertising consent to denied and treats the signal as a request to opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising where applicable. Tealefy does not treat the older Do Not Track header as a legally standardized opt-out where it is not recognized by law.
AdSense regional consent
For advertising requests from the EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google requires a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. When advertising is enabled, Google's certified message may present additional vendor and purpose controls. Tealefy's site-level choice does not replace those additional controls. If the certified message is unavailable or valid consent cannot be communicated, advertising should remain disabled or limited according to Google's rules.
Health and other sensitive information
Tealefy publishes general educational material about caffeine, medications and health conditions, but it is not a health-record service. The calculators operate in the browser, and Tealefy does not intentionally collect their values. Do not send medical records or other sensitive information in a general email. Tealefy does not create custom advertising audiences from a disclosed diagnosis, medication or calculator result, and it does not sell consumer health data.
Purposes and legal bases outside the United States
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR or similar law applies, Tealefy relies on legitimate interests to deliver, secure and improve the public service; consent for non-essential analytics storage, advertising storage and personalized advertising where required; steps requested by you when answering an inquiry; and legal obligations when Tealefy must preserve or disclose information. You may withdraw consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Where those laws apply, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability; object to processing based on legitimate interests; withdraw consent; and complain to a competent supervisory authority. Tealefy does not use personal data to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Retention
- Vercel runtime logs: accessible retention depends on the hosting plan and is generally one hour to 30 days. Security, billing or backup records may follow Vercel's documented retention requirements.
- Google Analytics: user-level and event-level data follows the retention setting in the Analytics property; Tealefy does not keep a separate reader-level Analytics copy. Aggregated standard reports may remain available longer.
- Consent records and advertising data: retained according to the displayed consent settings, provider requirements and the period necessary to document a choice, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations.
- Privacy correspondence: ordinarily retained for up to 24 months after resolution, longer only when reasonably needed to establish compliance or resolve a dispute.
- Local preferences and tasting notes: remain on your device until you remove them or clear browser storage.
Service providers and independent third parties
- Vercel hosts and secures the website.
- Sanity manages and may deliver editorial content and images.
- Google provides Analytics, AdSense, consent messaging, Search Console verification and the Gmail mailbox used to receive privacy correspondence.
- Amazon operates the destination store and processes data under its own notice after you follow an affiliate link.
- Resend delivers privacy-request and confirmation emails when the secure form is used.
Processors may use subprocessors and process information in the United States or other countries. Where required, Tealefy relies on provider data-processing terms, adequacy decisions and contractual transfer safeguards.
Disclosures, sale, sharing and profiling
Tealefy does not sell a customer list for money and does not offer a financial incentive for personal data. Advertising identifiers and browsing activity may nevertheless qualify as a sale, sharing or targeted advertising under some privacy laws. You can opt out through the privacy settings without losing access to site content. Tealefy does not use personal data for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Data is disclosed only for the operational categories described in this policy: hosting and security, content delivery, consented analytics, consented advertising, affiliate referrals you initiate, and communications or legal requests you submit. Tealefy does not authorize those providers to use submitted privacy-request content for advertising.
U.S. state privacy rights
Depending on your state and whether a law applies to Tealefy, you may have rights to confirm processing; access, correct, delete or obtain a portable copy of personal data; obtain information about third-party disclosures; opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising or certain profiling; limit certain uses of sensitive information; withdraw consent; appeal a denied request; and receive equal service without retaliation.
Email build100k@gmail.com. State your place of residence and the right you want to exercise. Tealefy may request proportionate information to verify the request and will use verification information only for that purpose. Authorized agents may submit requests where state law permits. Tealefy will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any available appeal process.
Delaware privacy requests
SEO Rank SERP LLC operates in Delaware. If the Delaware Personal Data Privacy Act applies, Delaware residents may request access, correction, deletion or a portable copy; obtain the categories of third parties receiving their data; and opt out of targeted advertising, sale and covered profiling. Tealefy accepts these request types through the same process even when a statutory threshold or exception may apply.
Tealefy will respond without undue delay and ordinarily within 45 days. When reasonably necessary, it may extend once for 45 additional days after notifying the requester during the initial period. A denied request may be appealed through the same form. Tealefy will decide an appeal within 60 days and, if it remains denied, explain how to contact the Delaware Department of Justice.

California disclosures for the preceding 12 months
Tealefy may have collected identifiers such as IP address and cookie IDs; internet or electronic-network activity; approximate geolocation; and inferences made by advertising providers. Sources are your browser and device, hosting infrastructure, Google services and information you choose to send. These categories are used and disclosed for the operational, security, analytics, advertising and affiliate purposes described above.
Tealefy has not sold personal information for money. Identifiers, internet activity and approximate location may have been shared with advertising providers for cross-context behavioral advertising. Tealefy does not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16 and does not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics in ways that trigger a right to limit.
Nevada and other state notices
Consumers may use the same email and request process to review or correct information they supplied, request deletion, obtain available third-party categories, appeal a refusal where applicable, or direct Tealefy not to make a covered sale. Tealefy will authenticate requests proportionately, avoid charging where law requires a free response, and not discriminate for exercising a privacy right.
Children
Tealefy is a general-audience site and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 or knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. A parent or guardian who believes a child supplied personal information may contact Tealefy for deletion.
Security and data incidents
Tealefy uses proportionate administrative and technical safeguards, including HTTPS, restricted editorial access, security headers and data minimization. No online service can guarantee absolute security. If a legally reportable incident occurs, Tealefy will investigate and provide notices required by applicable breach laws.
External links
Tealefy links to Amazon, research publishers, manufacturers, Wikidata and other independent websites. Their privacy practices apply after you leave Tealefy. An affiliate link includes Tealefy's Associate tag, but clicking it does not give Tealefy access to your Amazon account, cart, payment details or order history.
Policy changes
This policy will be updated when data practices, vendors or legal obligations materially change. The effective and review dates above identify the current version. Material changes will be presented through a conspicuous site notice or renewed consent when required.
