Before you choose
How should you buy tea online?
Should you buy loose-leaf tea or tea bags?
Loose leaf usually makes origin, leaf appearance, dose, and repeated infusions easier to evaluate. Tea bags can be the better choice when speed and consistency matter. The format should fit how you will actually brew.
How much tea should you order?
Start with the smallest practical package when trying an unfamiliar tea. A 50 g loose-leaf package makes roughly 20 to 25 Western-style cups at 2 to 2.5 g per cup, while gongfu preparation uses more leaf per session.
What should a quality tea listing tell you?
Look for the tea type, ingredients, net weight, country and preferably region of origin, seller identity, and any relevant harvest, cultivar, oxidation, roast, or storage details. Specific facts are more useful than unregulated grade language alone.
Where is the tea equipment?
Brewing tools remain separate in Tea Gear. This page is only for the tea you drink.
